13 cm (5") High End midrange driver with stiff, anodized aluminium cone, solid aluminium die-cast basket and elastic rubber surround. Extremely low mechanical and electrical losses due to vented pole plate and vented damper. Capton voice-coil and impedance control ring.
Technical Details
Driver Configuration:
The PA-1 is equipped with a single 6.5-inch coaxial driver that integrates a compression tweeter at the center. This design allows for coherent point-source sound radiation, improving phase alignment between the low and high-frequency drivers.
Acoustic Design:
The front baffle features a curved shape to minimize baffle diffraction, enhancing the clarity and dispersion of sound. Additionally, the port is flared to optimize airflow, increasing the maximum airspeed through the port and thereby boosting the speaker's SPL output, despite its compact size.
Crossover Network:
The PA-1 employs a second-order crossover network with a crossover frequency of 3 kHz. This design ensures effective frequency division between the low-mid driver and the high-frequency compression tweeter, improving overall tonal balance and system efficiency.
